Shtetl 2.0™ Programs

All Village Programs are intitiated and led by members. Starting in Spring 2025, Shtetl 2.0™ is beginning to develop a robust calendar of programs through a Program Team under the leadership of George Stern and Tobie Hoffman

Check our Events Calendar for programs in several formats:

  • Weekly Public Drop-in Social Programs - come enjoy coffee or tea and conversation at a regular time in a local coffee ship. No need to register - just come and spot the Shtetl 2.0 Host.

  • Ongoing Self-run Interest Groups - Any time we have 4 or 5 members who express interest in a topic or activity, we will support regular meet-ups once or twice a month. Examples may include exercise or walking groups, art or craft groups, reading or film groups, writing, games, cooking....you name it.

  • Shabbat & Holiday Meals - We are beginning to arrange for potluck dairy Shabbat meals in members' homes. Watch for sign-up links!

  • Monthly Cultural Events/ Outings - Several times a month we plan to offer cultural gatherings or outings to local museums, gardens or parks. Watch the Shtetl Shmooze for announcements!

  • Monthly Educational/Resource Events - Also watch for new programs and courses - mostly on Zoom - as members share their knowledge and experience on a wide range of topics. What would you like to present?

If there is a program or event that you want to see added to the calendar, please contact George Stern or Tobie Hoffman, and they will connect you with the right Program Team member to get things rolling. The Program Team also welcomes new members!

Most programs are free of charge to our members. Non-member guests are welcome to attend up to three programs before being asked to join Shtetl 2.0™ as a member.
