The second event in our four-part Housing Solutions series examines aging in place. This event is online via Zoom.
Chris Burba will provide a framework to help you plan and execute the steps necessary to age in place successfully. The first path centers on the Person. What are you doing to stay well? Improve balance and strength? Manage chronic conditions? The second path is Environment. What are the supports enabling you to do the things you need and love to do every day? What are the barriers that make those things difficult and present safety hazards? Considering all the factors needed to age in place can feel overwhelming. The two-fold path helps simplify your thought process so you can come up with a plan and take action.
Chris Burba, OTR/L, CAPS was recommended to us by SHTETL 2.0 member Naomi Klayman, with whom he planned home modifications to allow her to age in place with ease. He is a Mayo Clinic-trained Health & Wellness Coach and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Homebuilders. The Founder of Integrative Aging in Place, Burba dedicates his career to helping older adults extend their healthspans and create living spaces that enhance function, safety, and joy. He partnered with Mark Greenberg to form Boast Home Management, expanding services beyond advising on aging-in-place home modifications to managing projects from start to finish.
Please note: Zoom link will be sent to registered participants the morning of the event.
